New Hampshire Chapter offers…
State and Regional Exhibition Opportunities
Membership in the WCA/NH is open to all artists, from student to seasoned professional. WCA/NH offers a rich variety of juried and non-juried exhibition opportunities to our members. WCA/NH members include painters, sculptors, ceramicists, mixed-media artists, photographers, fiber artists, stained glass artists, video and digital artists, printmakers, jewelers and bead artists … the list is endless!
Local Chapter Website
WCA/NH maintains a New Hampshire Chapter website with information about our local events and exhibitions.
An Art Share is a casual meeting of artists who are interested in sharing and talking about their artwork. It’s a friendly gathering geared to encourage. It’s also a place to express ideas and creative thinking. You don’t need to be a member to join us for our Art Shares. Art Shares are hosted by members in different locations around the state of New Hampshire. Dates, times, and other details vary. Visit the "Get Involved" page of our website, Facebook, or Twitter for details. Come on your own or with a friend to find out what we’re all about.
Artist Trading Cards
WCA/NH holds Artist’s Trading Card (ATC) exchanges five times a year. ATCs are mini works of art done on 2-1/2 in. x 3-1/2 in. cards. Each artist makes six cards and mails them to our ATC coordinator along with a SASE. WCA/NH keeps a card for the archive, mixes up the remaining cards and sends each artist five different cards. Each participant receives five mini works of art for the cost of postage!
Monthly Board and Exhibition Meetings
WCA/NH raises money for an Art Scholarship fund. Each year WCA/NH awards a scholarship to a woman pursuing a degree in the visual arts at a NH college. Applications go out in early February and awarded in the Spring. We’re proud to have awarded 10 scholarships over 15 years since the NH Chapter was founded.
Bi-Annual Members Meetings Spring/Fall
Spring and Fall Members Meetings are held in different locations around the state giving us the opportunity to reach out to artists from all over NH. The meetings are typically held on a Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is time to visit, with a short business meeting in the morning, followed by “potluck” lunch, then programming related to the arts in the afternoon. It is a wonderful time to network.
